Michel Merten is the founder of Memnon and its co-CEO. He initially worked for Exxon Chemical after graduating from a major Business School.
After 10 years of various positions within Exxon, he joined a Belgian SME, Musica Numeris, dedicated to classical music recording /postproduction and initiated several music labels while starting up companies dedicated to audiovisual mastering and restoration in Europe.
In 2004, Michel started Memnon Archiving Services, focussing the activities exclusively on large scale audiovisual digitisation.
In 2015, Memnon was sold to Sony Europe Ltd. Michel represents Memnon in several professional Committees and organisations and is regularly invited to speak at academic, educational institutions in the field.
