Role Profile

As Video & Audio Operations Technician, you ensure the quality of video and audio digitization trough a permanent technical support and monitoring of the operational team, an adapted and continual training and trough an active watch of technical installations. You install, test and validate new equipment setups in accordance with technical specifications given by Head of Production and Technical Team. You perform scheduled and emergency interventions on Audio, Video and Film setups to keep the production lines running correctly.

 

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Support and monitor the audio-visual digitization work performed by operators in studio
  • Identify defects and train operators for continuously improving their technical level
  • Install, configure and test new Audio, Video and Film setups.
  • Preventive and scheduled interventions on Audio, Video and Film setups used by Production (in collaboration with the Maintenance Engineer)
  • Critical analysis of the cause of a problem, swap-out of faulty equipment
  • Daily round of all AV equipment used for production, referring to the Operational Supervisor for a list of problems and agreeing the action plan
  • Support test and validation phases of projects to ensure the equipment and systems meet the required specification
  • Perform and supervise Quality control
  • Validate setups for entry in production
  • Identify needed equipment and identify budget for purchasing approval by the Project Manager
  • Validate AV files in accordance to the customer’s specifications

Reporting line

  • You’ll report to Customer Delivery Manager (Head of Production)
  • You’ll work closely with Operators, Studio Supervisor, TL, CDM, CTO, AV/IT Engineer

Location

  • Brussels, Belgium
  • You could be required to provide some short missions abroad

Profile required

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in audio-visual technics
  • Qualified in the setup of video, audio and film equipment, including cabling, configuration and testing
  • Work experience is more important than qualifications
  • Familiar with AV editing systems and good knowledge of the existing type of file formats
  • Preferred: Experience in Analogue Video equipment
  • Preferred: Experience in Video Editing and AV File management
