Video Broadcast Technician in charge of daily maintenance and installation (M/F)

 

Role description

The video technician will ensure the correct state of working of the pool of video players and video installations in professional formats (broadcast). It will guarantee the technical quality and continuity of the production activities. He will take part in setting up the technical installations and make necessary adaptations

Missions and tasks allocations

As a video technician in charge of maintenance and repair:

  • Maintain, repair and calibrate video players
  • Check daily the proper functioning of video devices running in production: VTR, screens, etc.
  • Prepare and check video players prior going into production chain
  • Forecast and prepare a reserve stock of players ready to enter in production in Brussels and ready to be sent to external production sites (spare devices)
  • Collaborate to audiovisual equipment inventory updates (devices maintained, prepared, calibrated and checked in the video workshop)
  • Follow-up of regularly video devices maintenance program
  • Ensure an efficient management of spare parts

As a video technician in charge of setting-up

  • Collaborate to setup of video digitization installations and to cabling (including welds)
  • Ensure setup and change of video devices in existing and running installations, while keeping the coherence of the functioning configurations
  • Update documentation about equipment and devices put in production
  • Assist team in charge of films equipment for the electronical aspects and depending of your competencies in that field
  • Constitute a library of technical manuals and diagrams

Organizational position

  • Video technician will collaborate with the incumbent maintenance technician
  • Video technician will work under the responsibility of the Production and Customer Delivery manager and will collaborate the CTO and the teams of Production and Setup.

Location

  • Digitization factory in headquarter in Brussels
  • The Video Technician should be available for technical and setup missions abroad (1 to 10 days).

Profile

Education, training, and experience

  • electronics (training and/or experience)
  • at least one year experienced in video players technical maintenance
  • experienced in video broadcast equipment or eager to learn

  • basic knowledge of MS Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • preferred: knowledge of analog formats: U-Matic, Betacam, 1’’
