The Challenge 

An esteemed university in a major metropolitan area faced the challenge of preserving and modernizing their extensive special collections of audio archives. This included 10,000 hours of invaluable radio broadcasts on vulnerable ¼” tapes and audio cassettes, chronicling two decades of educational content.  

 

 The Solution 

From December 2020 to January 2024, Memnon carried out an ambitious project to migrate these archives. Utilizing cutting-edge technology and methodologies, we converted the analog recordings to digital files, resulting in 13TiB of data. The final migrated assets were securely stored on AWS S3, ensuring long-term preservation and availability.
